If one of your application has been refused you might have the right to ask for an administrative review.
If you think that there is an error in the decision itself, or in the duration of leave or in the conditions of the leave, you may ask for an administrative review. It will be carried out by a different person on an independent team.
A person who makes an application on or after a certain date and has received an ‘eligible decision’ may apply for an administrative review.
The decision will be checked for the errors you point out. You cannot send new information or documents unless you were asked for it.
You’ll usually receive the result of the administrative review within 28 days. You can’t request a second review.
If you’re in the UK, you won’t usually be removed until your review has been completed.
There is a fee of £80 for an administrative review. Where the outcome of an administrative review is that leave is granted, the fee will be refunded.
